Download and Install Bitdefender 2014

 

The following are the steps to follow on how to download and install Bitdefender 2014 products (Total Security, Internet Security, Antivirus Plus): 

Step 1 - Save the Installation File:
To download the installer, open the web browser and type the online location of the Bitdefender website, www.bitdefender.com. Go to the top of the window and select Home users, click downloads, scroll down to find downloads for Bitdefender products.

When you find the installer of the Bitdefender Product you wanted click download and save Bitdefender to your system. The browser will then ask you where to save the file. Use the drop-down menu to select your Desktop, then click Save. Download speeds will vary depending on your Internet connection, but could take from a few minutes to an hour.

Step 2 - Install Process: 
Close all open windows except this web page, then locate the file on your Desktop and double-click on it to begin the installation process, click Run to continue.

The Setup Wizard will open and for an easy installation, click the install button or select customize if you want to configure the installation settings. Read the end user license agreement before proceeding with the installation.

Wait for the installation to complete. The application files are then downloaded. Before installation, Bitdefender will check he system for malware. The application files are then installed and it starts its services. This step can take a couple of minutes.

Step 3 - Network Connection: 
Choose the type of network your computer is connected to. Click Get Started to proceed with the initial set up of the software.

Step 4 - Registration Of the product:
At this step, the program will prompt you to either register the product using license Key purchased or click “I want to evaluate the product” in case you want to register later on. Click next to continue.

Step 5 - Configuration Of the product behavior: 
Enable the auto-pilot to allow Bitdefender to take care of all security related issues but for game players, enable automatic game load to reduce impact on the system performance. Click next to continue.

Step 6 - Configuration of Connection Filters: 
Configure to ensure protection when connecting to the Internet. Click next to continue.

Step 7 - MyBitdefender Account:
At this step, the program will prompt you to either Create MY BITFENDER ACCOUNT or enter your detail in the corresponding field if you already have an account, click log in to continue. If you want to skip this task for another time, click as me later.

Bitdefender product is now installed. 

NOTE: If your purchase covers more than one computer (for example, you purchased Bitdefender Total Security 2014 for 3 PCs), repeat the installation process and register your product with the license key on every computer.
